| To open with two feet, the width same as shoulder, upper body is in the middle and upright, lower limbs bend one’s knees, drop the gravity, two arms bend a little bit, raise in front to hold a circle, to make arms and shoulder at relaxing position. Just like to hold a big balloon, not to tight, and not too loose. At after exercises, this movement has to put into effect from beginning to end. So everybody has to find out proper range for oneself practicing, and strengthen, to lay the good foundation for future study. | ||||

| Both arms put down, to hold a circle and revolve round vertical axle of the body, use whole body’s power, take body’s vertical axle as the core, to make 90-degree pedal turning, same to keep body upright, arms to keep slightly bend to hold a circle. | ||||

| To skilled correct methods of holding the racket are the most basic and easiest techniques, but it is also easy to be overlooked, and the most important techniques, therefore, emphasis must be place on attentions of the beginners. There is two ways of holding for fore-hold and back-hold. The correct ways are: (1) Fore-hold: using the first part of the thumb and forefinger, relative to pinch two width sides, that are the place of the handle parallels with the face side of the racket, rest of fingers are following to hold, the tip of the racket close to the edge of the hand, the palm of the hand need to be empty out, in order to the handle of the racket is easy to revolve. (2) Back-hold: it is also using the first part of the thumb and forefinger, relative to pinch two narrow sides, that are the place of the handle vertical with the face side of the racket, rest of fingers are following to hold, the palm of the hand need to be empty out, to make the racket can flexible to face all kinds of difficult technique requirements. (As the diagrams 1-1 till 1-2) (3) Common faults: a. The tiger’s mouth (part of the hand between the thumb and the index finger) stick on the handle of the racket tightly. b. The position of the holding part over to the backside, the ending part of the racket sticks on to the root of the palm of hand. c. The arm with the racket is getting nervous, and the muscle is getting hard. d. To stretch the index finger and thumb, stick tightly on to the handle. e. Hold the racket in five fingers. (4) To explain the methods of holding racket is easy, but to handle very skillfully, there must be familiar with process. Therefore, when the beginners are doing practices, have to examine and attention one’s holding ways at any time, whether it is correct or not, after a period of training, then can make the correct finalized for holding the racket. |

| (1) When doing swing, require the arm with racket need to bend a little bit, in order of the shoulder as an axle have to swing in both sides in front of body, to draw a up open semicircle, invisible center of a circle to imagine in between of two arms’ level height. When doing the movements, the surface of racket need to aim at the center of a circle. (2) Follow the both sides swing; the body has to keep down first (as horse step), then to move. (3) During the swing, relaxed, soft, slippery (4) The both sides swing can divide into 5 resolve movements: a. Right side position (the arm with racket is the same height as the level shoulder), the surface of racket is vertical with the ground. b. Right down position 45-degree, the surface of racket slanting towards to up left. c. Facade down position, the surface of racket face to the level up side. d. Left down position 45-degree, the surface of racket slanting towards to up right. e. Left side position (the arm with racket is the same height as the level shoulder), the surface of racket is vertical with the ground, both sides position have to symmetrize. (5) During the swing process, the top of racket has to face the front, the vertical axle have to keep relative parallel with the ground. Otherwise, if the top of racket face to down side, that is easy to drop the ball (for violating this kind of techniques’ mistake, the main reason is that the elbow and wrist joints are stiff, to fail to keep relax, the principles of soft and revolve). |

| 1. Right sideways revolving supplementary practice Firstly, to hold racket without ball, basic stand position of forehand, the gravity is falling down, right hand to fore hold racket, put the racket in the front right underneath as 45 degree, the sideway frame of racket inclined to the front. Two arms opposite opening, left footstep on the ground, as right foot is support point, to make the body to revolve backwards to the right, the arm with racket and the racket revolve from down side of right 45 degree to upper side of left 45 degree, then to revolve in front of body and back to down side of right 45 degree, which is the starting point. Required the whole movements must be completed and link up, the centre of a circle and radius have to stable, the circle that the racket draws has to be on a plane, the racket pass through by the revolving and stable back to the start point, these required points are very important, to be sure to attention when doing practice. After skilled the practice with holding racket, then can practice this with holding the ball together. 2. Left sideways revolving supplementary practice Firstly, to hold racket without ball, basic stand position of backhand, the gravity is falling down, right hand to fore hold racket, put the racket in the front left underneath as 45 degree, the sideway frame of racket inclined to the front. Two arms opposite opening, right foot step on the ground, as left foot is support point, to make the body to revolve backwards to the left, the arm with racket and the racket revolve from down side of left 45 degree to upper side of right 45 degree, then to revolve in front of body and back to down side of left 45 degree, which is the starting point. | Left hand to hold ball, right hand to hold racket, left hand to throw the ball, right hand initiative stretch out to move towards the ball, to make the frame of racket is facing the coming ball, base on the falling speed of ball to lead the racket, then to draw the curve with ball in front of body, and to practice again and again. | ||||

| This exercise is also self-supplementary training way, it can completely to understand the whole process of move towards, lead and throw. When doing the exercise, body is naturally stand up, Left hand to hold ball, right hand to hold racket, left hand to throw the ball from left side to the upwards right side, right hand stretch out to move towards the ball, along with the speed of ball to quickly move and with the ball, to draw the curve from right side underneath to left, to make the curve pass through underneath towards to left upper side to draw a smooth and complete curve, at last along with the tangent of curve direction to throw the ball, left hand to catch the ball, then to keep on recurring. | ||||
